James Sadler
A fine figure of James Sadler the balloonist seated in a chair on a shaped gilt lined base, his left hand resting on a book on a pillar below, his right hand resting on his leg with spectacles, wearing a jacket, waistcoat, breeches, and stockings. This figure has often been named as a portrait of William Huntington and were it not for the recently found painting of Mr Sadler, this attribution may have stayed.
