The Earle Collection of Early Staffordshire Pottery
An illustrated catalogue of 740 pieces of early Staffordshire pottery, the pieces dating approximately from the middle of the seventeenth to the beginning of the nineteenth century. Additional contents include a preface outlining the history of the compilation of the collection by Cyril Earle, an introduction by Frank Falkner, describing the collection with particular attention to the outstanding pieces and a supplementary chapter entitled The Evolution of the Potters Art by T Sheppard.
